About Us
Our Initiative
Committed to plugging the gaps in the Indian healthcare system, SAMRIDH is fast evolving as India’s first large scale endeavour for enhanced access to capital for healthcare enterprises through increased investments and innovations. SAMRIDH has been developed in technical collaboration with the Government of India (GoI) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID), with its technical support unit housed within IPE Global. The initiative aims to set up a corpus fund of over $100 million with support from private sector, bilateral and philanthropic resources. This fund will have both a grant and a soft loan provision to allow social and market-based health solutions to be introduced and scaled rapidly. Together with our partners, we are ready to support the next generation of innovative and entrepreneurial teams in India to build a robust and resilient healthcare system in the country

VISION

Catalyse market solutions and innovations to improve access to affordable and quality healthcare services for the vulnerable population of India.

Increased investments and new innovations have been well acknowledged by policy and healthcare experts as crucial areas of focus to plug the gaps in the Indian healthcare system. In that sense, India has a thriving healthcare ecosystem, with promising healthcare start-ups and innovations that can transform the lives of the underprivileged sections of our society. However, it is difficult for them to scale-up due to limited financing options, low/no collaterals and absence of enabling platforms that can support their overall value chain processes.
